The Gospel Music Foundation is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit corporation dedicated to preservation and promotion of traditional gospel music as an original American folk art form. Planned areas of Foundation activity include educational archive library facility, live performance events, publication of educational material on Gospel Music History and general promotion of the art form.

In an effort to instill in the hearts and minds of our youth the rich heritage of traditional gospel music, a youth choir has been established. Additionally scholarships are provided to youth who exhibit interests in music training including but not limited to vocal, instrumental and choir directing. Classes are taught by certified music teachers.
New classes begin each October. Youth applications are reviewed and selected based on criteria set by the GMF Board of Directors and Music Teachers.
